Last week, Koen Suilen, together with his colleagues Mario Paiano and Mark Mettler from Fontys Education, were invited by North West University in the Johannesburg region to organise a roadshow on AI & professionalisation.
Together we spoke for two days at the Digital Futures Symposium to an audience of 250 and also gave two days of workshops on the Potchefstroom and Vanderbijlpark campuses and worked with students on the responsible use of AI.
The local context of being able to use AI and the challenges involved were special to experience in personal conversations. Valuable connections for future research and educational innovation were also made thanks to the collaboration with Prof Koen dePryck of Monclair State University in the US. Want to read more?
