A system vision on the software development of [mobile] robots and sensor networks.

Embedded systems play a major role in the high-tech region of the Southern Netherlands. Bigger and smaller companies from the Brainport are making advanced products with embedded software.

The High Tech Embedded Software lectorate researches methods and techniques for the improvement of software development in high-tech products. The focus lies on two types of cyber physical systems, namely: (mobile) robots and sensor networks. As lecturer, Teade Punter initiates and coordinates practical research into questions of the business world or society. In the lectorate speech on 12 October 2018 Teade presented the research programme for the next few years.

Lectorate speech and mini-symposium

After his lectorate speech titled Software for Smart Systems, lecturer Teade Punter was officially inaugurated as a lecturer of 'High Tech Embedded Software'. The inauguration took place in a crowded hall near the new location of Fontys University of Applied Sciences ICT at the innovative Strijp. The lectorate speech of Teade Punter was preceded by a mini-symposium with various speakers:

  • Wim Hendriksen (former lecturer of Fontys University of Applied Sciences ICT)
  • Tom Brugman (software manager ASML)
  • Bennie Mols (scientific journalist and author)
