Hack the Waste

Fontys Information and Communication Technology
For the third time in a row, FHICT organised the hackathon "HACK THE WASTE" as part of BUSINET (an international collective of colleges of higher education).

64 international students came together in 8 teams to think about plastic waste. How can we seduce people to behave better? Business, Marketing, Risk Assessment and our IT students contributed to 8 concrete plans and demonstrators to tackle the plastic problem. Their contributions can be found on HacktheWaste.com.

Teachers Michael Schifferling and Wouter Sluis-Thiescheffer participated with students Bram van Gils and Leslie Crielaard. The team of Bram van Gils won and the team of Leslie Crielaard had an honourable mention. In short, with only 2 students, FHICT left a great impression on this international event!
